What is Clawfoot Tub Refinishing?
Clawfoot tubs require a specialist with many years of refinishing experience. Unlike a standard built-in tub, a clawfoot tub has both an interior and an exterior surface that require attention, and the claw feet themselves are often a key part of the tub's aesthetic character.
Our technicians carefully prepare the surfaces, repair any chips or damage, and apply a highly durable UV resistant coating according to your preferences. The result restores the tub's original character while giving it a fresh, durable finish that holds up to daily use.
The interior of a clawfoot tub is normally refinished right in your home, and it is still a one to two day job. If you would like both the interior and the exterior refinished, we ask that you bring the tub to our shop in Strathmore, where we have the space to do the full job properly. When a tub comes into the shop, the feet are removed and refinishing them becomes an option. If you choose to have the feet done, you can select a chrome plated, brass plated, or brushed nickel plated finish, or a painted finish. The feet are an optional add-on, and we are happy to walk you through the choices.
